Steak

This steak burrito recipe uses top sirloin steak, which is a lean cut of beef that has an amazing flavor and is usually budget-friendly. It’s the perfect choice for this dish because it cooks quickly and easily while still providing plenty of flavor. Additionally, because top sirloin is so lean it won’t make your burritos greasy or heavy. Other types of steak can also be used in this recipe such as flank steak, skirt steak, or even ribeye if desired. However, these cuts may take longer to cook than top sirloin and could result in a different texture and taste than what is expected from this delicious dish.
Vegetables

For this steak burrito recipe a combination of white onion, red bell peppers, and green bell peppers add an amazing flavor to the dish. These vegetables provide a great balance of sweetness and crunchiness while also adding texture and color contrast to the burritos. Additionally, these vegetables are easy to prepare ahead of time if desired which can save you time in the kitchen. Plus, they are all very affordable ingredients so this recipe won’t break your budget! If you’re looking for some other vegetable options for your steak burritos feel free to experiment with different colors or types such as jalapenos, poblanos or mushrooms. The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to making delicious steak burritos at home!
Toppings
Cotija cheese, sour cream, and guacamole are all essential toppings for steak burritos. Cotija cheese is a salty and crumbly cheese that adds a great texture to the burrito. It also has a bit of tanginess which helps to offset the richness of the steak. Sour cream is a classic topping that not only adds flavor but also has a rich creaminess. Lastly, guacamole brings out the bright colors in this recipe while its creamy texture adds depth to each bite. Additionally, other popular toppings such as shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, or salsa can be used to add more freshness and crunchy texture to your steak burritos. For an extra kick of flavor, you could also add some hot sauce or pickled jalapenos on top!
