What Sausage Should I Use?

If you’re in a hurry, I recommend using a sausage that is already cooked. This will make the sandwich assembly much faster and easier. However, if you have a few extra minutes, I recommend using fresh-pressed sausage patties. They tend to be more flavorful and juicier than precooked patties. Just be sure to cook the sausage all the way through before eating!
Do I Need To Use Pork Sausage?
No, you don’t need to use pork sausage for this recipe. If you’re looking for a chicken or turkey sausage option, that would work great as well. Just be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
What’s The Best Cheese To Use?

I like to use Kraft 2% singles cheese on my sausage muffin sandwiches, this is because it melts perfectly for this sandwich and is only 45 calories per slice. You of course can use any type of cheese that you like. Cheddar, mozzarella or even swiss can all work well.
What Muffins Work Best?

I like to use English muffins for this recipe, but you can really use any type of muffin that you like. If you’re looking for a healthier option, you could even use a whole wheat muffin.
