What Else Can I Add To My Macaroni Salad?

If you want to take your macaroni salad even further try adding some of these amazing options.

Bacon Bits

Bacon bits are an amazing addition to this macaroni salad especially if you are a fan of all things bacon ranch flavored. I recommend sprinkling some on before eating so that the bacon bits don’t become soft and are nice and crisp.

Diced Avocado

Diced avocado is a great way to add more creaminess and healthy fats to your macaroni salad. It will also make it more filling and flavorful.

Shredded Cheese

Shredded cheese is just a classic way to add more flavor and texture to your macaroni salad. Cheddar cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, or Monterey Jack cheese are both good options.

Green Onions

Green onions are a great addition to add on top of your salad and give it a nice fresh flavor and a slight crispness.

Red Onion

Red onion is a popular option for pasta salads because it gives more texture and a slight sweetness to the dish.

Tomatoes

Diced Tomatoes give great color and flavor to macaroni salad. Mix them in to the salad or just use them as a topping.

Chicken

If you are looking for a way to add some more protein and flavor to your pasta salad and make it into more of a meal try adding some chicken. Season, grill, and slice up some chicken or use rotisserie chicken to add to your salad and you can easily make this into a lunch or dinner option.
