Popcorn

For this recipe, I am using air-popped popcorn. You could also use stove-top popped popcorn or even microwave popcorn. If you are using microwave popcorn, make sure to remove all of the unpopped kernels before starting the recipe. If you are using microwave popcorn be sure to get one that is plain or lightly salted.
Chocolate

For the chocolate, I like to use candy melts. You can find these in most craft stores and some grocery stores or online. They come in a variety of colors which makes them perfect for holidays such as Christmas and Halloween. Candy melts are perfect for this recipe because they are easy to work with, they melt quickly and harden as they cool down so they won’t make a mess.
You Can use a variety of different chocolates such as white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate. Just make sure that the chocolate you using is able to harden up nicely when dry or you will have a bit of a mess on your hands.

Directions
Step 1

Step 2
Add your popcorn kernels to the popcorn maker as directed by your machine’s instructions and pop all popcorn until done.

Step 3
Place your candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and warm them using the soften or defrost function on your microwave. Use a fork to check chocolate every 20-30 seconds until you are able to stir until smooth.

Once your chocolate is mixed and smooth, use your fork to drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn evenly. Allow popcorn to set for 30 minutes to 1 hour so the chocolate can harden.
