Get ready to add a new recipe to your air fryer favorites list. This air fryer chicken breast recipe is tender, delicious, and sure to satisfy. These days it seems like everybody has an air fryer right? But every once in a while you want to try something new and this recipe is a great option for stepping up your air fryer game. If you don’t have an air fryer don’t worry, I will go over how you can still make this recipe in your oven down below. Lets get started!
Chicken

The star of the show in this recipe is boneless skinless chicken breast. I am using regular boneless skinless chicken breasts and simply splitting them to make them thinner but you can pick up chicken breast that is already split for you or chicken cutlets.
Panko Bread Crumbs

I’m using panko bread crumbs in this recipe to get a nice crispy crust on the chicken and panko crumbs brown up nicely and give a great texture.
Cheese
I’m using parmesan cheese with panko crumbs to make the crust for this chicken. You can use an Italian blend cheese if you prefer or omit the cheese altogether.
Non-Fat Plain Greek Yogurt

The Greek yogurt is being used as the binder in this recipe to keep our breading adhered to the chicken. The Greek yogurt is also working its magic by making a barrier to help keep your air fryer chicken breast most and add some creaminess.
Seasoning
For the seasoning mix, we are simply using kosher salt and black pepper on the chicken breast to give it more flavor. You can add some Italian seasoning to the breading mix if you want to give it a little more flavor. Some other good seasoning options would be onion powder, garlic powder or a seasoning blend of your choice.

How Long Do I Cook Chicken Breast for in The Air Fryer?
When cooking air fryer chicken breast in the air fryer the cooking time it takes to fully cook will vary depending on the temperature and thickness of your chicken. A whole chicken breast will usually cook in 20-25 minutes if your air fryer is at 375 degrees. If you split your chicken breast the time will be roughly half so 10-15 minutes. The easiest way to never have to question if your chicken is done again is to invest in an instant-read meat thermometer. It only takes a second to get your temp with a meat thermometer and will save you from undercooking or cooking chicken for too long.
Leftovers
You can save leftovers in an airtight container and then reheat them when you’re ready to eat. preheat your air fryer to 375 and then reheat them for 4-5 minutes to get some of the crispy crust back.
Cooking Frozen Chicken Breasts
If you are going to be cooking frozen chicken breasts instead of raw chicken for this recipe in your air fryer, I would recommend thawing them first. This will soften the chicken breasts up and allow the breading to stick to them without falling off in the air fryer.
