Tips for cooking chicken

It’s always good to have some solid tips to make sure your chicken turns out the way you want it to. We will have some helpful tips spread throughout this article to help you on your journey to having amazing chicken every time.

Tip #01

This one is pretty standard but possibly the most important when cooking raw chicken breasts. Always make sure your chicken is thoroughly cooked. Chicken is cooked fully when it reaches 165 Degrees. There are 2 simple ways to check for this. The first is to cut the chicken to ensure there is no pink left but this allows all the juice to run out of your chicken and if you have to cook it longer can dry it out. The second way is possibly the best and that’s to use an instant-read meat thermometer. A good meat thermometer will check your chicken’s temperature almost instantly and won’t cause it to dry out.

This is a good one to get in the habit of. Pat your chicken dry with paper towels before seasoning or cooking. Chicken releases juices as it cooks so it isn’t going to dry out by doing this. By patting the chicken with a paper towel before cooking you promote browning when you cook chicken breast and this will result in a crispier skin or outer layer.

You can also do it the old fashion way and pull it out the night before and put it in the refrigerator. You can also try using a thawing tray if you’re feeling adventurous.
